1. Information We Collect

We collect information that helps us operate the website and app, communicate with users, improve propane location data, and deliver app features.

Information you give us

• ✓ Name and email address when you join Early Access, contact us, or submit a form on the website.
• ✓ Message content submitted through contact, waitlist, business listing, or location report forms.
• ✓ Business information you provide as a propane retailer, dealer, distributor, campground, RV park, or partner, including business name, address, hours, services, and contact details.
• ✓ App sign-in: your email address, used to send a one-time 6-digit sign-in code. There is no password. You only need to sign in to submit a price report or claim a business; searching, viewing results, and getting directions do not require an account.
• ✓ App price reports: the station, service, price, stock level, tank size, and time, plus a photo of the posted price sign taken with your camera. ProPath cannot choose photos from your photo library.
• ✓ Problem reports in the app: reports of incorrect station information or a problematic photo, including the category or reason you choose and an optional note of up to 300 characters.
• ✓ Optional photo permission: if you allow ProPath to feature your photo, your choices, an optional name to credit, and the date (see Section 5).
• ✓ Business claims in the app: the listing you claim and your contact email, so we can verify the claim.

Information collected automatically

• ✓ Website: usage information, including pages visited, referring page, browser type, device type, approximate region derived from IP address, and performance data.
• ✓ App: the app does not include third-party analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting tools. If you have chosen in your device settings to share analytics with app developers, Apple or Google may provide us with anonymized crash reports.
• ✓ App: a sign-in token stored on your device to keep you signed in.
• ✓ App: your precise location, only while the app is open and only if you have granted permission (see Section 3).

Some app data stays only on your device and is never sent to ProPath: your favorites, recently viewed stations, recent searches, and people whose reports you have chosen to hide. We do not collect Social Security numbers, government ID numbers, payment card numbers, health information, contacts, or biometric data. ProPath does not process payments directly.

2. How We Use Information

We use collected information to operate ProPath, respond to users, improve the website and app, and make propane location data more accurate.

• ✓ Respond to questions, support requests, feedback, and business inquiries.
• ✓ Manage Early Access registrations and send launch updates.
• ✓ Show propane locations near you and provide directions, hours, services, and pricing information.
• ✓ Improve propane location listings, service types, hours, prices, and overall accuracy.
• ✓ Verify business or location information submitted by users or propane businesses, including business claims.
• ✓ Confirm that a person, not a bot, is submitting a price report, and let you manage and delete your own reports.
• ✓ Review reported content and remove photos or reports that break our rules.
• ✓ Feature a photo on ProPath's social media or in ProPath ads, only when you have given permission for that specific photo.
• ✓ Understand website usage and performance.
• ✓ Protect the website, forms, app, and users from spam, fraud, misuse, or security issues.

We do not use your information to build advertising profiles, and we do not sell it. We do not use your email address for marketing unless you join Early Access or otherwise ask to receive updates.

3. Location Information

ProPath exists to help you find nearby propane. The app requests location permission so it can show propane refill, exchange, RV-friendly, dealer, and other propane-related locations near you, and sort results by distance.

The app uses your location only while it is open. It never asks for background ("Always") location access, does not track your location in the background, and does not build a history of your movements. To run a nearby search, your location, or the ZIP code or city you enter, is sent directly from your device to the mapping and station-data providers listed in Section 6 to return results. ProPath does not store your search location on its servers or link it to your account.

You can deny or revoke location access at any time through your device settings. If you do, you can still search by entering a ZIP code or city, though distance-based features will be limited.

4. User-Submitted Location Data

Users may submit propane locations, service updates, price reports, corrections, or other details. ProPath may review, edit, verify, display, or remove submitted information as needed to improve the service.

Price reports in the app are public. Anyone using ProPath can see a report's station, service, price, stock level, tank size, time, and photo. Your email address is never shown or included in public report data. Each report does include an anonymous account identifier, which ProPath uses to let you delete your own reports and to let other users hide reports from the same person.

Reports of incorrect station information may be publicly accessible. Reports of problematic photos are visible only to ProPath staff. If you are signed in when you submit a report, it is linked to your account identifier.

Please do not photograph people, license plates, or anything personal, and do not submit private information about another person. Anyone can report a photo or incorrect station information in the app. ProPath reviews reports within 24 hours and removes content that breaks these rules, and users who repeatedly submit false or objectionable content may have their accounts removed. Business listing information should be accurate to the best of your knowledge. Use of the app is also subject to our Terms & Conditions.

5. Photos and Photo Permissions

Every price report submitted in the app includes a photo of the posted price sign, taken with your camera. The photo is compressed and stored with your report, and is shown publicly with it.

Featuring your photo (optional). After you submit a price report, ProPath may ask whether we can share your photo on ProPath's social media accounts and, separately, in ProPath ads. Both choices are off unless you turn them on, and saying no does not affect your report. If you agree, we store your choices, the name you want credited (optional), the date, and the version of the wording you agreed to. This record is private: only you and ProPath staff can see it. ProPath never treats a photo as approved for marketing unless you have given permission for that specific photo.

Withdrawing permission. Delete that price report in the app, which also deletes the permission, or email hello@pro-path.app and we will delete it. Deleting your account also deletes all of your photo permissions.

The ProPath app does not send push notifications.

6. Third-Party Services

ProPath relies on third-party providers to run the website and app. These providers process information on our behalf and are permitted to use it only to deliver their service to us.

• ✓ Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions) stores app accounts, price reports, photos, problem reports, business claims, and photo permissions.
• ✓ Google Maps Platform (Places, Geocoding) receives the location or ZIP code/city being searched, to find nearby stations. Its use is also governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
• ✓ U.S. Department of Energy station data, provided through the National Laboratory of the Rockies (formerly NREL), receives the location being searched, to find nearby alternative-fuel stations.
• ✓ Email delivery: Resend delivers app sign-in codes and receives your email address and the one-time code. Email providers also send Early Access updates, replies to inquiries, and account-related messages.
• ✓ Directions: when you tap Directions in the app, the station's location is passed to the map app you choose (Apple Maps, Google Maps, or Waze), under that app's privacy policy.
• ✓ Website hosting and database: used to store website content, business listings, and form submissions.
• ✓ Website analytics and performance monitoring: Google Analytics measures website usage in aggregate and helps diagnose errors. The app does not use analytics tools.
• ✓ Website advertising: used to display ads on the website, as described in Section 8. The app shows no third-party ads.
• ✓ App distribution: the Apple App Store and Google Play handle app delivery and updates under their own privacy policies.
• ✓ Security and spam prevention: used to protect forms and accounts from automated abuse.

7. Sharing Information

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

We share limited information with the service providers described above, and with propane businesses when you specifically ask us to connect you or when you submit a listing or correction concerning their location. Price reports and their photos are shown publicly in the app, as described in Section 4.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to comply with valid legal process, to protect rights or safety, or to prevent fraud, spam, or misuse. If ProPath is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may transfer as part of that transaction, and we will post notice here before it becomes subject to a different policy.

8. Cookies and Similar Technologies

The ProPath website uses cookies and similar technologies to support site functionality, forms, performance, security, and analytics. The mobile app uses local device storage rather than cookies to remember your favorites, recent searches, and preferences and to keep you signed in.

Third-party advertising (website only)

The ProPath website uses third-party vendors, including Google, to serve ads. These vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites on the Internet. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to pro-path.app and/or other sites.

You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings. You may also opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info. For more information about how Google uses data when you use our site, visit Google's Partner Sites policy.

The ProPath app does not show third-party ads, does not use advertising identifiers, and does not track you across other companies' apps or websites.

9. Affiliate and Partner Links

ProPath may include links to retailers or partners, and may earn a commission if you make a purchase after following one. Those links are disclosed where they appear.

When you follow an outbound link, the destination site operates under its own privacy policy and may set its own cookies or identifiers. ProPath does not control and is not responsible for how third-party sites handle your information.

10. Data Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect information submitted through ProPath, including encryption in transit, access controls on our systems, and restricted administrative access.

No website, app, database, or online service can guarantee complete security. If we become aware of a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

11. Data Retention

We keep information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including communication, waitlist management, service improvement, legal compliance, and business operations.

Early Access and contact information is kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. App price reports and their photos stay visible to other users, to keep pricing useful, until you delete them or delete your account. Account information is kept while your account is active. Location coordinates used to run a nearby search are not retained as personal history, though standard server logs containing IP addresses may be kept for a limited period for security and diagnostics. Submitted business and location listings may be retained as part of the propane location database after an account is deleted, because that information describes a business rather than you.

12. Your Choices and Data Deletion

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information you have submitted. You may unsubscribe from Early Access and marketing emails using the link in any message, or by contacting us.

Deleting a report. Open the station in the app and delete your report. This also deletes its photo and any photo permission you gave for it.

Deleting your account. If you signed in to the ProPath app, you can delete your account in the app: open any station, scroll to Report a Price, and tap Delete Account. Deletion in the app takes effect immediately. You can also email hello@pro-path.app with the subject line "Delete My Account" from the address associated with the account; email requests are completed within 30 days.

Deleting your account permanently removes your sign-in account and email address; every price report you submitted and its photo; your photo permissions; incorrect-information and photo reports you submitted while signed in; your business claims, including the contact email stored with them; and any unused sign-in code. It cannot remove reports submitted while signed out, because those are not linked to any account. Data saved only on your device stays there until you delete the app. Some records may be retained where required for legal, tax, security, or fraud-prevention purposes.

You can control location and camera permissions at any time through your device settings, and cookie behavior through your browser settings.

13. Children's Privacy

ProPath is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

14. California Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, to request deletion or correction, and to not be discriminated against for exercising those rights.

ProPath does not sell personal information and does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined under California law. We have not sold or shared personal information in the preceding twelve months, including information of consumers under 16.

15. Other Regional Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state, federal, or international privacy laws, including rights of access, correction, deletion, portability, and the right to object to certain processing.

ProPath is operated from the United States, and information is processed and stored there. To make a privacy-related request, contact us at the address below. We do not charge a fee for reasonable requests and will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

16. Updates to This Policy

ProPath may update this Privacy Policy as the website, app, features, business model, service providers, or legal requirements change.

Updates are posted on this page with a revised date. If we make a material change to how we handle personal information, we will provide more prominent notice, such as an email or an in-app notice.
