The Story Behind ProPath
Why I started building a GPS-based propane locator — and why finding propane should feel simple, clear, and reliable.
ProPath did not start as a big startup idea.
It started with a real frustration: trying to find propane when I needed it and realizing how unnecessarily difficult that process can be.
You search online. You get general map results. You call around. You drive out hoping the location is open, hoping they offer the right service, and hoping the information you found is still accurate.
Too often, the details are outdated, unclear, or missing completely.
“It shouldn’t take guessing to find something this essential.”
That is where the idea for ProPath started to take shape.
Not as another crowded map app. Not as a complicated platform. ProPath is being built as a focused tool for one specific problem: helping people find propane with confidence.
Whether someone needs a tank exchange for the grill, a refill for an RV, propane for an off-grid setup, or a nearby dealer they can trust, the goal is the same: less guessing, better information, and a faster path to propane.
For RV owners
Find refill locations and RV-friendly propane stops before wasting time on places that may not work for larger vehicles.
For grillers
Locate tank exchange or refill options for BBQs, backyard cookouts, tailgates, and weekend plans.
For rural users
Help off-grid households and rural communities find propane options with clearer location and service details.
ProPath is focused on the details that matter in the moment:
ProPath is still being built, and early users are helping shape how it works in the real world. Every report, correction, waitlist signup, and piece of feedback helps make the app more useful.
If you are here early, you are not just signing up for an app. You are helping build a better way to find propane.
ProPath is starting with a focused launch area so the data can be improved, tested, and verified before expanding wider.
Built to make finding propane feel obvious.
